A major business group gets a new president, staffer moves, a return to the lobby by a key player, and some of our friends featured for their expertise on significant changes to Texas law
Voting is underway in the
race to be Vice Chair of the Texas House Republican Caucus, a
contest that may not quite be a referendum on Speaker Dennis Bonnen’s
leadership but will potentially be read that way by members, the lobby, and
political activists around the state. The voting opened Monday and is set to
close next Friday, but it is possible one of the candidates could declare
Meantime, it must be after
Labor Day because your POTM submissions picked up in a big way this week.
