People on the Move

A major business group gets a new president, staffer moves, a return to the lobby by a key player, and some of our friends featured for their expertise on significant changes to Texas law

Voting is underway in the race to be Vice Chair of the Texas House Republican Caucus, a contest that may not quite be a referendum on Speaker Dennis Bonnen’s leadership but will potentially be read that way by members, the lobby, and political activists around the state. The voting opened Monday and is set to close next Friday, but it is possible one of the candidates could declare victory sooner.

Stay tuned.

Meantime, it must be after Labor Day because your POTM submissions picked up in a big way this week. Staffer moves, a return to the lobby by a key player, a major business group with a new leader, and some of our friends were featured for their expertise on significant changes to Texas law. Exciting stuff.

Make sure to send your career moves to ksbraddock@gmail.com and use POTM in the subject line. And yes, if other publications get something wrong, we’ll try to get it right for you. Hey if we get it wrong we’ll make it right. It happens. Honest mistakes don’t equal fake news.
