People on the Move

A departure from the governor’s office, new faces in members’ offices, and think tank promotions

Texans are quickly running out of time to register to vote if they’re going to participate in this fall’s elections and the star power is coming out now in the race for US Senate. Check out the latest in the Texas Take Podcast that I host each week with Ryan Poppe of Texas Public Radio and Jeremy Wallace, ace reporter at the Houston Chronicle.

Speaking of the podcast, thanks to Christine Mojezati at the Texas Medical Association and Robert Rogers, MD, TEXPAC Chair, for inviting our crew to do our show live at their meeting last Friday evening. We're available to speak to your group as well.

Many of you are no doubt reading this in Dallas as Texas-OU weekend opens in Big D. Good luck navigating the fundraisers and here’s hoping the governor has a good turnout despite the paltry RSVP’s for his consolidated fundraiser. “He’s just trying to help,” said one member dryly.

Back here in Austin, there are new gigs and promotions to tell you about as well as a couple retirements at a key agency. Feel free to tell us all about career news anytime at ksbraddock@gmail.com. Put POTM in the subject line so I can keep it all straight. Please and thank you.
